JR. PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT

1.0 GENERAL:

The Project Superintendent is responsible for the scheduling and coordination of the Systems Overhaul Programs, removal and Installation of Overhauled equipment's, Test and check-out, and Combat Systems Alignments, These responsibilities encompass all alterations and upgrade programs, configuration management and logistics support and other special programs as assigned.

2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

2.1 Supervises, Coordinates, schedules and reports on all works assigned to the Ship Repair Facility for overhaul, conversion, upgrades, and  other special projects as assigned, including Combat Systems Alignments.

2.2 Coordinates the manpower allocation of the functional divisions to support the priorities established by the General Manager.  Enforce establish personnel policies to provide for adequate manpower and supervision to meet job requirements.

2.3 Establish procedures for the execution of training programs within, and amongst all  shops to satisfy needs of special projects SDC goals and requirements.

2.4 Monitor work environment and established procedures to ensure that ships systems related equipment's and personnel are properly guarded and comply with all required safety standards.

2.5 Coordinate with Quality Assurance Department to ensure that the QA program, QA Audits, and required QA actions etc., are accomplished in a timely manner.

2.6 Perform other project coordination duties as directed.

SAFETY OFFICER

1.0 GENERAL:

Responsible to the General Manager for the implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety and Environmental protection program, Environmental compliance Certificate and the Emergency Preparedness Plan in accordance with the local and national government regulations and industry standards.

2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

2.1 Oversees the management and implementation of the company’s safety Policies and Procedures in coordination with the different operating departments to eliminate work related injuries. Illnesses, deaths and financial losses.

2.2 Identify and eliminate occupational health and safety hazards for a safe and healthful working environment.

2.3 Develops accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies of the company.

2.4 Promote the health, safety, environment protection and the well being of employees and workers so that they can perform their tasks safely and efficiently.

2.5 Oversees the development and implementation of fire prevention programs for incorporation into the operational policies of the company.

2.6 Conducts on-site investigations of accidents and incidents involving fire, hazardous materials, unsafe situations, and/or non-compliance issues as well as preparing reports and recommendations for procedural changes as necessary.

2.7 Oversees and manages the response to an investigation of hazardous condition report; review recommendations and/or take appropriate actions in order to mitigate safety, health and environmental risks.

2.8 Oversees the supervision of assigned personnel, which included hiring, work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.

2.9 Establishes and implements safety goals/objectives, policies and procedures and evaluates its effectiveness for continuous improvement.

2.10 Conducts routine inspections to all vessels in the yard, buildings, facilities and equipment for compliance with safety standards and report non-compliance and/or hazardous conditions as well as recommends remedial actions as appropriate.

2.11 Collect data and other information necessary to monitor and update regularly the health and safety performance.

QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

1.0 GENERAL:

The main objective is to optimize product performance and reliability while reducing the product costs, strengthening the inspection and test capability to achieve zero defects on our delivered vessel to the customer, and review for continuous improvement of processes, products and the system.

 

2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

2.1.1 Represents the Quality, Reliability and Safety department in meetings and conferences on matters related to quality such as; incoming material inspection, final inspection and testing, safety requirements, and the quality management system etc. as requested by the vessel representative, other managers, suppliers, sub-contractors, local/national government and other industrial agencies;

2.1.2.   Manages and monitors all Quality Assurance/Control Staff in executing their daily activities such as Daily Report, daily rounds in and around yard and SDC premises, attend Project Management Meeting and appraise them to be sure that they are trained to a high level of competence;

2.1.3.   Responsible for the development, formulation, monitoring and controlling quality assurance / control policies, programs and procedures to assure high quality products in conformance to the specifications, customer and other regulatory requirements;

2.1.5.  The efficient organization and operation of Quality Assurance/Control Section in accordance with the SDC- Quality Management System, local and national government regulations and industrial standards;

2.1.6.   Ensuring that departments maintain their responsibilities with respect to Quality by organizing quality processes, reviews and investigation of non-conformance as well as corrective and preventive actions, if necessary;

2.1.7.   Promote quality awareness throughout the organization to produce high quality products that meets customer and other regulatory requirements;

2.1.8.   Liaison with the external agency on matters related to Quality Certification and SDC-Quality Management System;

2.1.9.   Develop and implement a suitable “corrective and preventive action” that would assure conformance and to prevent the recurrence of nonconformities;

2.1.10. Oversee the maintenance and safekeeping of SDC employee records of training, skill/experience such as Trade Test Results, Employee Certification from Class Society and alike; and discipline and evaluation records of QA-QC Personnel;

2.1.11. Monitoring and disposition of hold & non-conforming material, system and products;

2.1.12 Direct and review the calibration of all necessary instrument and test equipment and monitor the maintenance of calibration and quality records;

2.1.13 Review and approve the inspection report, test report, quality information’s and certificate of conformity;

2.1.14 Initiate the analysis of potential non-conformity and monitor the investigation of customer complaint;

2.1.15 Participate in the evaluation, re-evaluation and approval of material suppliers and service sub-contractors together with Production and Purchasing Managers;

2.1.16 Provide leadership and maintain a motivated workforce that would effectively sustain the intentions of the Quality Policy;

2.1.17 Review and approve the inspection report, test report, quality information’s and certificate of conformity;

2.1.18 Initiate the analysis of potential non-conformity and monitor the investigation of customer complaint;
